Shots rang out in Burnaby again over the weekend.
Police were called to the area of Imperial Street and Royal Oak Avenue for reports of a shooting just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, according to a Burnaby RCMP press release.
Upon arrival, officers located bullet holes and shell casings at the back of a business in the 5200 block of Imperial Street, but no victims or suspects were found, the release said.
Investigators are now looking for witnesses and collecting surveillance video footage of the area to find out what happened.
Without a victim or suspects, police said it's too early to tell if the shooting was targeted.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with dashcam video who was driving in the area between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers.
Saturday’s incident is the latest in a spate of shootings in the city this summer.
Two men in the 20s were injured in two separate shootings near hookah lounges in the city on Aug. 17.
On July 15, a house just north of Riverway Park was struck by bullets, and a July 1 shooting saw the Bloo hookah lounge on Hastings Street hit.
On June 12, shots rang out in the 6600 block of Humphries Avenue.
