Nobody likes going to the dentist.
For Gurmail Sidhu, her last trip wasn’t so bad.
Sidhu was at the dentist when the senior citizen discovered she had matched all four Extra numbers in the Lotto Max draw held on July 5 to win $500,000.
“While I was at the mall to see the dentist, I decided to check my tickets,” Sidhu explained. “I saw a lot of zeroes, and asked my son to look. I don’t have words to describe it.”
The 79-year old came to Canada about 40 years ago from India and she spends most days helping her daughter to raise her twins.
Sidhu said she is excited to share her winnings with her family, including her grandchildren, whom she loves to spend time with.
