We don't think we're breaking any no-talking-about-Christmas rules with this news item: tickets to climb aboard The Polar Express in Squamish are now on sale.

Yes, Santa and Mrs. Claus are already filling in their social calendar and you might want to, too, if there are any train fans in your life.

This annual Christmas trek to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park is always popular.

The $35 Coach Class ticket includes: 

  • • Polar Express 2018 Golden ticket
  • • Hot chocolate and cookie
  • • Christmas music and carols
  • • Access to the North Pole
  • • Chat and pictures with Mr. & Mrs. Claus
  • • A mini rail ride, Extra rides by donations
  • • Round trip ride on the Polar Express from our Train Station to the Squamish Estuary


The $52.50 First Class ticket includes all the above plus:

  • • Assigned seating
  • • Facing seats with a table
  • • First to board and first to disembark the Polar Express
  • • A collector’s mug


The $59 Premium train Ride, which is only Saturdays at 6 pm includes all the above and the entire train is first class with evening lights.
