Part of BCIT’s Burnaby campus is closed today (Tuesday, April 23) due to a power outage.
The post-secondary institution has cancelled all full-time and part-time classes in building SE6 after a “localized power outage that occurred at 9:30 a.m.,” according to a statement posted on the BCIT website.
The closure will affect classes scheduled today and this evening. The school is expected to provide an update on the status of tomorrow’s classes later this afternoon.

Any students with questions are asked to contact their instructors directly.
All classes are expected to resume tomorrow (Wednesday, April 24) as scheduled, according to the school.
