Witnesses sought after Burnaby pedestrian struck by vehicle

Burnaby RCMP is investigating after a pedestrian was struck Tuesday morning. On Tuesday at approximately 7:40 a.m., a vehicle struck a 21-year-old woman who was walking in the area of Sanderson Way and Gilmore Way.

Burnaby RCMP is investigating after a pedestrian was struck Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday at approximately 7:40 a.m., a vehicle struck a 21-year-old woman who was walking in the area of Sanderson Way and Gilmore Way. The injured pedestrian was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Services with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. 

“The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators,” said a news release from the RCMP. “The cause of the collision is still under investigation and Burnaby RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed this collision or may have any dashcam video of the collision to contact police.”
