Yep, it’s a snow day for Burnaby public school students.
The Burnaby School District announced the decision at 6:30 a.m. on its website after snow fell in the city overnight.
“All Schools are CLOSED,” read a notice. “Due to weather conditions, all schools in the District are CLOSED for instruction. This decision was made after careful consideration of all of the circumstances. Our priority is always the safety of students and staff.”
More than 7,600 people have signed a petition since Sunday asking for a snow day in the Burnaby School District due to predicted snowfall.
