Dear Editor:
Once again, public school teachers are donating their time, passion and money for kids.
Some of you complain that teachers are lazy and greedy. Far from it – we are working very hard to direct the public’s attention toward an important part of our future – the need for a great public education system that empowers every student to be a competent, contributing citizen.
But teachers can’t do it on their own. We need each and every one of you to support every student. Students need class sizes small enough to get individual attention from their teachers, as well as access to specially-trained teachers to address their needs.
Your contribution is simple. Support public education at every opportunity, with your voice, your pen, with your political will. We can make sure that every child gets the top-class education they deserve.
