Earls Restaurants in Burnaby have added a selection of natural wines to its menus, becoming the first large-scale restaurant group in the country to offer biodynamic and organic wines by the glass.
Natural wines are made from grapes grown organically or biodynamically and then made with “low intervention,” meaning no chemicals in the vineyard nor additives in the cellar.
Earls natural wine selections represent some of the world leaders in this growing movement – including wines from B.C., France, California, and Austria – all carefully selected by Sommelier David Stansfield.
Selections will vary by region and will include both reds and whites from an exciting array of natural wine producers:
WHITE
- Lock & Worth Sauvignon Blanc
- Meinklang Grüner Veltliner
- Pascal Jolivet Sancerre
RED
- Eric Texier Chat Fou
- Broc Cellars Love Red
By offering natural wines from grapes grown organically and then free of additives, Earls is once again offering guests the opportunity to make more health-conscious selections. Wines are priced between $10.75 and $22.50 per glass and offered in 5oz, 7oz or 9oz glasses (price varies based on location).
