A new Burnaby restaurant is set to open next week in Burnaby’s biggest hotel.

Time & Place is set to open Aug. 6 with a freshly revamped dining space on the third floor of newly renovated Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.

A locally-inspired menu designed by Executive Chef David Ferguson awaits diners.

"The freshest ingredients, simply prepared with perfect execution – that's what we're doing. We don't hide the main flavours of ingredients but rather have them front and centre," said Ferguson, a 25-year industry veteran. "With Time & Place, we've pivoted our concept to celebrate the best of what is around us," he shares.

Diners can expect to explore a wholesome and approachable menu of sharable dishes, proteins and casual handhelds.

Menu highlights include: Grilled Kuterra Salmon Bowl, a wholesome and nourishing dish with ancient grains, stone fruit salsa and a charred citrus vinaigrette; Hand Made Pizza, enjoy classic flavours amped up with house made oils; West Coast Cioppino, a bursting bowl of seafood featuring salmon, ling cod, clams and prawns in fragrant fennel saffron broth.
A happy hour will run 4:00pm – 6:00pm, Thursday – Saturday. Drink offerings will include $5 sangria, draught beer and well drinks. Diners can gather and graze over an array of plates priced from $5-15, including hand-made pizzas, chicken wings and “Hipster Vegan Sliders.” On tap, patrons may enjoy an array of local brews, including Time & Place Lager made by Central City Brewers, with a portion of sales from Time & Place Lager going to Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
Restaurant Manager Naveed Siddique leads the cocktail program, expect a lineup of fresh summer sippers like the Southern Peach, a bourbon and Aperol spiked iced tea with white peach puree and thyme. Fun-filled riffs include a Mai Tai with a hibiscus tea spin.

Weekend brunch will be served 11:00am – 2:00pm. Sweet or savoury, healthy or indulgent, there's a time and place for it all and the restaurant is dishing up plenty of options for patrons to choose from. Expect amped-up variations of the favourites such as beef brisket as an option with eggs benedict and a Croque Monsieur with the welcome addition of sweet onion jam. To celebrate its opening Time & Place will be offering a complimentary mimosa to patrons with brunch through August.
Time & Place will also be offering a Low n' Slow BBQ dinner experience Thursday to Saturday through August. This summer spread offers up four proteins: 12-hour pulled pork with maple whiskey BBQ sauce; a juicy dry-rubbed Canadian beef brisket; roast chicken and grilled Italian sausage. Complete with piles of sides including roasted potatoes, summer greens salad, creamed corn with double-smoked bacon, roasted tomatoes on the vine, charred green beans and house made bread.
