This is where you get Burnaby’s best paella…and beer

If you’ve never tried paella before, I truly feel pity for you. It combines two of my favourite things - seafood and rice – as well as rich spices, into one amazing dish. It’s national staple in Spain and they take it seriously.

If you’ve never tried paella before, I truly feel pity for you.

It combines two of my favourite things - seafood and rice – as well as rich spices, into one amazing dish.

It’s national staple in Spain and they take it seriously. English chef Jamie Oliver once tried to add chorizo and chicken to it and Spaniards tried to ban him from the council.

I feel their passion over this dish.

So, where do you go when you want a paella fix? Well, you could go to Estelle Costanza’s house. Or, in Burnaby, you can go to Dageraad Brewing right here in Burnaby.

Dageraad – one of the best brewers in Canada – has teamed up with the Paella Guys (a mobile paella company) for a special deal that is part of Dine Out Festival 2020.

You can book tickets for four special nights of paella, beer, wine, live music and a tasting ofJamón Iberico. All for $45. The dates are Jan. 18, 24, 25 and 30. Check out this page for more details.

Look, I know that you have made resolutions about cutting back on food, but paella is worth it. It’s so fresh and yummy. Add in Dageraad beer and you’ve got a great night of fun.
