Burnaby vigil set to protest deplorable U.S. detention camps

The horrific situation involving camps run by the U.S. government has sparked some Burnaby residents to stage their own protest. A Burnaby event has been organized as part of the global Lights for Liberty campaign.

The horrific situation involving camps run by the U.S. government has sparked some Burnaby residents to stage their own protest.

A Burnaby event has been organized as part of the global Lights for Liberty campaign.

People who want to protest the camp human detention camps are invited to come out on July 12 at 8:30 p.m. to Richard Bolton Park, 9388 Tower Rd., which is located next to Simon Fraser University.

People can drop by or they can sign up ahead of time at this Facebook page.

There are tens of thousands of people being detained in this camps, with deplorable conditions ranging from rotting food to filthy bathrooms to freezing temperatures.

Apart from the terrible conditions is that purpose of the camps themselves, which New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called “concentrations camps.”
