Did you know Burnaby has mascots? You should because the Neighbourlies are adorbs

People like to make fun of mascots (I’m looking at you, Metro Vancouver’s Pee and Poo), but I think they’re a great idea. And it turns out there are mascots right here in Burnaby.

People like to make fun of mascots (I’m looking at you, Metro Vancouver’s Pee and Poo), but I think they’re a great idea.

And it turns out there are mascots right here in Burnaby.

They’re called the Neighbourlies and they are colourful and soft and available to rent out for your next party.

They are run by the youth leadership program at Burnaby Neighbourhood House and geared towards high energy and inclusiveness.

The mascots were on display this week as BNH’s South House threw a block party event on Beresford Street.

Check out their site here and find out the different types of parties and services the Neighbourlies can provide for you.

Personally, I'd like to see the Neighbourlies show up at more events. Council meetings. Store openings. They are the colourful heroes we need.
