Don’t let this hit-and-run driver get away with killing someone

As of today (Thursday, June 13), it’s been one week since a 75-year-old man was killed. The driver who killed this pedestrian is still on the loose. That situation needs to change.

As of today (Thursday, June 13), it’s been one week since a 75-year-old man was killed.

The driver who killed this pedestrian is still on the loose.

That situation needs to change.

Someone out there has information on a hit-and-run scumbag driver who stopped after hitting the victim on Marine Way near Boundary Road at around 11 a.m. on June 6, but then decided to ignore their basic humanity and drive away.

“Witnesses say the driver stopped briefly at the scene and then continued driving eastbound on Marine Way,” stated an RCMP post on social media.

Police are now looking for a “vehicle of interest” described as a semi-truck pulling a dark-red shipping container.

Anyone with information about the semi is being urged to contact police immediately, so if you know something, say something by contacting Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.

People always talk about there being special places in hell for certain people doing certain things.

Driving away from somebody you hit with your giant truck is one of those things.

Please, let’s catch this driver and hold them accountable.
