Opinion: Ungrateful ‘N’ driver speeds away from cops after getting off with a warning

If there’s something I’ve noticed in the past year of writing traffic blogs is that people hate ‘N’ drivers. This following story won’t help. A new driver given a warning for speeding by RCMP didn’t get the message.

If there’s something I’ve noticed in the past year of writing traffic blogs is that people hate ‘N’ drivers.

This following story won’t help.

A new driver given a warning for speeding by RCMP didn’t get the message.Police said the driver was pulled over by a traffic officer for going 80 kilometres per hour in a 50 zone and given the warning, although he did receive a violation ticket for failing to display an N on his pickup truck.

With that, the driver quickly drove away, prompting the same officer to follow him. This time, the driver was clocked in at 102 km/h.As a result, he was issued the original ticket for going 80 in a 50 zone, along with a second ticket for excessive speeding, and his truck was impounded for seven days. This all happened in the West Shore area of Vancouver Island.

You just can’t make this stuff up.
