Nobody said criminals are smart.
Some are just lazy and don’t want to earn an honest living so they turn to crime. And then they do some even dumber stuff.
Like drive like a maniac through Burnaby when there is a warrant out for your arrest. That’s what happened on the weekend when Burnaby RCMP caught several excessive speeders.
One of them, it turned out, was wanted for a different crime and so, on top of getting an excessive speeding ticket and having their vehicle towed, they were arrested on the warrant.
Other drivers were caught for excessive speeding and one was also nailed for driving while distracted.
You would think if the police were out looking for you, then you would pump the brakes a little bit and stay within the speed limit. If it was me, I would be driving like it was a school zone.
Once again, crime – including speeding – doesn’t pay.
