Sorry grandkids, Lotto Max couldn't even give away the tiny jackpots

Lotto Max has two types of jackpots. There is the mega-jackpot that grows to absurd amounts that have us dreaming about buying gaudy mansions with gold door handles and a bathtub that can fit eight people.

Lotto Max has two types of jackpots.

There is the mega-jackpot that grows to absurd amounts that have us dreaming about buying gaudy mansions with gold door handles and a bathtub that can fit eight people. Maybe we’ll throw in a Maserati and rent out 54-40 to play our birthday party.

Then there are the tiny jackpots of $1 million that just have us relieved we probably won’t have to keep working until we’re 75 because our job doesn’t include a pension plan. Maybe $1 million means we can pay for the grandkids to go to university.

Won't anyone think about the grandkids!

We don’t expect the mega-jackpots to be won every week, those $1 million Maxmillion prizes going unclaimed are really disappointing.

Sadly, no winning ticket was sold for the $50 million jackpot in Friday night's Lotto Max draw.

The draw's two Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each also went unclaimed (ack!).

The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on July 23 will grow to approximately $55 million and there will be four Maxmillions prizes up for grabs.
