Dear Editor

In April I was put in Burnaby Hospital after a few falls and no appetite. I ended up in 4 West.

I’ve never come across such excellent nurses, who are worth every penny they are paid for the patience they have and concern for their patients.

Also, Burnaby needs to be proud of the wonderful doctors they have, as I had bone marrow checked by my oncologist Dr. Wendy Lam, I had scans, X-rays, biopsy and finally nuclear medicine to check if my heart was strong enough to accept chemotherapy. I was sent home after three weeks, ended up with bronchial pneumonia. Back to Burnaby Hospital, this time in Ward 5. I never knew Burnaby Hospital had a special area for seniors. Again the best of care, even down to nurses who love to sing in the hallways, and I must mention the cleaning lady in 4 West who was always so pleasant and singing while she worked. I know there are some complaints re our hospital, but from my point of view, we need to be very proud of our doctors and nurses we have at Burnaby Hospital.
