I was leaving Red Robin the other day and spotted a big delivery truck blocking two important parking spots.
According to the Province of B.C.’s website – click here - these are actually still called “handicapped” parking spaces, although I never hear that word anymore.
Anyways, these spots are for people with mobility issues and you are not allowed to park there while you make your deliveries. Technically, the driver is only blocking one of the spots, but the lot is really narrow so it would be really difficult for someone driving by the truck to make that sharp turn into the spot.
So, by my calculation, it’s blocking both of them.
Booooooooo. I don’t care if you need to make a delivery. Or if you drive a car and are “just going into the store for a minute” – don’t park there if you don’t have mobility issues.
It’s just bad form.
