As a lifelong resident of Burnaby, I have been watching with great interest the fight that the members of the Parents' Voice have been picking with the Burnaby school board. Is it only me, or do the rest of you find rather frightening the opinions which the members of Parents' Voice have been voicing. It is as if Burnaby is in a time warp, and we have been catapulted back into the 1950s Alabama.
With all seriousness, I would like to thank the Burnaby NOW for providing Parents' Voice with a venue to express their views. This has allowed the citizens of Burnaby an opportunity to see who these individuals are, what they stand for, and to remember them if they decide to field a slate of candidates in the upcoming municipal election.
