I reported on Marc Eliesen back in May, when he was claiming the economic argument for the Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion was bunk. He was granted intervenor status in the NEB hearing, likely because of his experience in the energy sector. (He was also former president of B.C. Hydro.)
Now he's withdrawing from the hearing altogether, with criticism for the NEB, as outlined in this letter.
I've heard some rumblings from people in the community, dissatisfied with the NEB hearing process and considering pulling out, but Eliesen is the first actual withdrawal that I know of.
Drop me a line if anyone else is abandoning the hearing process: [email protected]
