Dear Editor:
Re: MP blasted for spending Thanksgiving with Lennikov, Burnaby NOW, Oct. 12.
Don Davies thinks that a KGB veteran, who illegally entered Canada, who has no right to remain here, who had his bogus claim to refugee status rejected by the Immigration and Refugee Board, and who was told to leave Canada more than three years ago by a federal court judge, would make an ideal citizen.
Surprised as I am that a lawyer and MP would publicly question the rule of law, I don't mind admitting that I would prefer to offer the protection of this country to those who deserve it, not to (ex) secret policemen who directly or indirectly were agents of repression throughout eastern Europe.
