Let's ban smoking in multi-family complexes

Dear Editor,

Why is it that, given the knowledge we have on the effects of smoking and second-hand smoke, that smokers are allowed to light up on their patios or in direct shot to neighbouring windows or intakes?

As a forward-thinking and green-friendly city like Burnaby is, we as a municipality can be on the cutting edge of the way of the future by taking to council and voting in a no smoking policy in multi-family strata residences.

I just created the petition “Smoking ban in multi-family residences” and wanted to ask if you could add your name too.

This campaign means a lot to me and the more support we can get behind it, the better chance we have of succeeding. You can read more and sign the petition here: http://tinyurl.com/SmokingPetition.
