The first time the firefighters put out a fire in the woods or grass lands or mountain sides or a ravine near a home or business, the value of $435,000 will be realized. 

Firefighters put their lives at risk every time they go out, so they should be equipped accordingly. 

It doesn't matter that the gear has not been needed yet. At some point it will, so now they are prepared.
