Letter: Burnaby landlords and banks must also share the pain

Yes, everybody wants to be helped in these days of restriction from the poorest on up. 

So everybody takes a cut, but not everybody. It is one thing to assist those whose wages have been cut or even eliminated in these days of universal loss, but the bearing of the problem needs to be borne universally. 

Landlords and landlord’s landlords like banks need to take a share of the difficulty. 

It is unfair to do otherwise.

There is an offer of high-wage people in TransLink to drop 10% of their wages. Those of six-figure incomes could easily cut their high income by half with no major loss, unlike the permanently working poor.
