Letter: Burnaby needs to enforce rules for resident-only parking on our street

Should some streets have parking just for residents?

A Kalyk Avenue resident says non-street drivers are parking where they shouldn't.

Re: Burnaby homeowner chews out council over parking ticket in front of own house, NOW News Parvin Chami isn't asking for anything other than the city following the bylaw which they have mandated. If the street is a resident-mandated street, only residents should be parking on that street. And if people don't want to follow the mandate, the City of Burnaby should enforce the bylaw. Seems pretty simple. If the city fails to uphold the bylaw, the residents in that area have every right to ask for enforcement. And hold their city accountable for not meeting their obligations to the residents of Kalyk Avenue Avenue.
