I don't understand how closing groceries stores, pharmacies, banks fast food outlets and gas stations earlier than usual is any help to not spreading the virus?
It puts a larger number of people to be there in a smaller time frame. This causes people to have to stand in larger lines for a longer time. Even with social distancing, if someone coughs or sneezes in a line outside with a breeze, it becomes and aerosol and could infect several people - maybe one or two who could have been in and out quickly with one item.
Also, by not accepting cash, everyone handles the same unit for payment. I'm sure they don't disinfect it between each customer.
