I was shocked to hear this news of Ray Sawada's death.
This is very close to our family as Sawadas are part of our family's hockey history. The Richmond Sockeyes hockey team (goalie Wyatt Russell) championship days are great memories I will always keep.
I was surprised to find out he was member of our much-valued Burnaby firefighters since 2017.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and all friends.
