Letter: Instead of fighting big laneway houses in Burnaby, just leave please

Local resident says owners of detached houses should stop complaining.

I’d like to respond to the opinion on (two-storey) Burnaby laneway houses being “monstrous.” 

I believe laneway homes can be up to a maximum 950 square feet? I believe that is completely reasonable and far from monstrous.

For someone to think that this shouldn’t be allowed because it would obstruct a view seems ridiculous to me.

Be grateful you have the ability to own a detached home. If you don’t like the increased traffic, then move away from the Metro Vancouver area. 

There is a housing crisis and we need to support more density or the problem will just keep getting worse.
