Letter: Loudspeaker yelling at TMX protesters shouldn't wake up Burnaby residents

Burnaby resident says Trans Mountain should find a different method at 5:50 a.m.

Editor:

I woke up this morning at around 5:50 a.m. after hearing an unusual and loud message: “You’re now trespassing, please leave the area immediately. You are under video surveillance and recorded.”

This is something completely new and I had never heard such message before.

I live near Burnaby Mountain Secondary School. At first I thought it was the school testing their broadcasting system or some sort of emergency message, but I could not believe it once I paid a bit more attention and heard the actual message.

Since it is new, the only possible source with this specific language in the message, is the nearby Trans Mountain construction by Production Way. Is it necessary to upset local residents with such loud message during random time before sunrise? I had my windows closed, imagine what it will be like during the warmer months when I have my windows open.
