Letter: New flight paths over Burnaby aren't a problem

This pilot says take-offs are the noisiest part — and Richmond and South Vancouver will bear the brunt of those.

New flight paths for Vancouver International Airport won't be too hard on Burnaby, this letter writer says.

Re: Proposed flight path changes could see more planes over North Burnaby

I don't see a problem with the new flight path. Most of the noise from planes is the take-off, not the landing, and Richmond and South Vancouver plus a small part of New Westminster may get the brunt of that when they take off on 08R or 08L.

I find helicopters the nosiest, but they are rare.

In the late 1960s and early '70s, I took some flight training out of YVR.  (I have flown for 35 years.)
