Re: Burnaby mom frustrated by city project’s ‘horrible detour’ to daycare, NOW opinion
The City of Burnaby has so many construction projects that tie up traffic that getting around Burnaby has become as slow as getting around by foot in the Middle Ages.
The city should do road construction projects that tie up major traffic arteries after 9 p.m., when traffic is minimal.
If not, the city official in charge of these projects should be fired. He/she's out of touch with the reality that roads around Burnaby have not been improved to cope with the city council-approved increased population densification. Does he/she even live in Burnaby? Driving around Burnaby has become a nightmare. That's got to stop.
