Letter: The perils of being a pedestrian in Burnaby

Crossing the street is a perilous experience for this Burnaby letter writer.

Editor:

I live at the corner of Cardston Court and Carrigan Court. When I got my driver's licence years ago, the corner of two streets were considered an unmarked crosswalk. I have to wait sometimes almost 10 minutes to cross as the cars come flying down the street.

I have almost been hit a couple of times; I have been yelled at to go down to Government Street to cross at the light. I can’t; I am handicapped — and why should I, as I cross at the corner?
