Letter: We have to drive to get groceries in Burnaby. How does that make sense?

This resident is still waiting for a grocery store at Greystone Village.

Residents of a Burnaby neighbourhood are being forced to drive to get groceries while they wait for a store to open at Greystone Village.

Editor:

The Greystone Village in North Burnaby has become completely neglected as Sungiven Foods is trying forever to open.

Within a large area, there is no store where people can buy day-to-day necessities; Instead, we have to drive anytime we need a loaf of bread or anything of the kind.

So much for saving the planet and encouraging less driving.
