They story of a group of protesters letting their dog defecate in the lobby of the Burnaby RCMP detachment caused a stir among readers.

Dear Editor: Re: Protesters’ pooping pooch provokes police, Burnaby NOW, Friday, April 6.

Is this the best you can do? “… a dog takes a dump in the lobby …” Are you, Ms. Naylor, a graduate of a journalism program? Did they not teach you to write about such acts using more appropriate terminology without completely appalling this reader, and I am sure many more,  with your poor writing and thus descriptive skills?

While the act of the animal and the lack of care and attention by the owner to be responsible was designed to provoke the police and others during the protest, it is inappropriate to describe it in such a way.
