Dear Editor
Re: Christy Clark’s attempted abduction at 13 years of age. Her “disclosure” about “personal trauma” she suffered over the years of unwanted attention, groping or other unsolicited physical contact, is something that most women (myself included) can copy by experience.
Still, there are those who have suffered worse; it makes her “disclosure” offensive, but not for reasons some may think.
With this Liberal government scooping in the cash from the real estate market, and the economic reality that this cash flow is what is sustaining this government’s fiscal bottom line, it makes this well-timed “traumatic” announcement by the premier an offence to those who can see it for what it is, a politically timed “announcement” to take the focus away from the Liberals’ cash-grabbing fists of the money mountain in the real estate arena.
Wake up everybody, this well-propped, strategically timed piece of theatre is shifting your attention from “centre stage” to a side show. After all, the side show is free, but on the main stage of easy money in realty, we will all suffer in the long term, for the government’s shortsighted cash plan.
