Dear Editor: Suppose all pipelines, regardless of content, were shut down . How do Premier John Horgan and Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan propose to generate energy for B.C .

Driving less or, when driving is a necessity, purchasing smaller cars, taking transit more often and changing our driving habits by combining trips, accelerating gently, avoiding idling, heavy braking and high speeds are just some of the ways we can fight Big Oil.

How do Premier John Horgan and Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan propose to generate energy for B.C.?

Nuclear power?(Chernobyl! Fukushima!) Wind turbines?(Dead birds!) Tidal power?(There is only one Bay of Fundy.) Biomass conversion? (How do you measure the greenhouse gases?). Solar power? (How many sunny days does the Lower Mainland get from October to March?)

To paraphrase an earlier Alberta politician: β€œLet those B.C. Green and NDP bums freeze in the dark.”
