Letters: Motorcyclist was 'unwilling participant' of accident in Richmond

Letter writer thinks ICBC's no-fault model should have exceptions.

Yoshihiro Yanagitani's prized possession, a 1992 Yamaha Virago 1100, was totalled in the accident.

Dear Editor,

Re: "Richmond business at brink of closing after owner's devastating accident"

This is a prime example as to why this no-fault insurance model put into effect by ICBC should have exceptions.

Yoshihiro Yanagitani, "the motorcyclist," was an unwilling participant in this accident and had no chance of avoidance.

ICBC should reconsider this case and ruled in favour of Yoshihiro.

You may say that monetary compensation will not return things for him back to normal, but how much would you pay to have this not happen to you?
