Big thanks to MP Terry Beech and his staff for pulling together the Sept. 7 public forum on the Kinder Morgan pipeline. I hope this is more than a Liberal dog and pony show where the Liberals will say “Look at all the consultation we did!” and approve the Kinder Morgan pipeline anyway.
The purpose of the forum was to inform attendees and also collect public feedback to take back to Ottawa. The message was pretty clear. We don’t want this pipeline to proceed.
Terry Beech, on behalf of your constituents, please take this message back to Ottawa: the only social licence your government has is to protect our air, soil and water. You cannot approve new infrastructure to ship dirty tar sands bitumen to Asian markets.
