As a resident of the City of Burnaby, we take our garbage and recycling collection services for granted.
I just want to say a special thank you to the crews that have been on top of the collection schedule during the past few weeks’ unseasonal weather.
Even though many of our local side streets and back lanes are impassible due to the accumulation of snow and ice, the collection trucks showed up either as scheduled or slight delayed.
As for the accumulated snow and ice on the sidewalk, I hope every homeowner clears the sidewalk section infront of their house as required by the bylaw so that pedestrians can walk safely.
