Dear Editor

Re: Is columnist lobbying for the oil industry?, Burnaby NOW, Feb. 17.

Thank goodness we have political commentators as unbiased as Keith Baldrey.

The reason this is a political issue is because of left wing social justice warrior groups making it political.

Wayne: Can you please tell us what your answer is for the 100,000 recently put out of work in Alberta? And remember a lot of them are from the Maritimes.

I know you keep thinking PM Selfie with his unicorns and sunshine Agenda 21 team are going to save the day. Well, they aren't.

LNG is more viable now than ever. Why? Because the price is low. If we get some terminals built and get the gas flowing, when the price goes up this government will look like geniuses.

Wayne: Can you fill us in on your views as to replacing $260 billion that the oil and gas industry puts into government coffers? Windmills and solar panels? None of which are manufactured in Canada. Good one!

One more point I would like to make: Next time you are on Facebook, check out the social justice warrior pages such as Save Our Coast and Save the Salish Sea. Have a look at the number of followers. Hmm,

pretty dismal huh? Now have a look at any oil and gas page. Thousands of followers each. My guess is that eventually the smart voters are going to wake up soon - well, I hope so, for your kids' and their kids' sake, at least.
