LETTERS: Why believe election promises?

Dear Editor I had a good laugh reading your newspaper this morning that people are actually expecting Mr. Trudeau to fulfill his election promises in regards to the Kinder Morgan pipeline and the Site C dam.

Dear Editor

I had a good laugh reading your newspaper this morning that people are actually expecting Mr. Trudeau to fulfill his election promises in regards to the Kinder Morgan pipeline and the Site C dam. It ought to be obvious to anyone that election promises are distributed freely and are rarely fulfilled.

That is just how our system works, i.e., whoever promises the most cookies gets elected.

The sad thing is that so many people still put faith in these promises and are then disappointed with the results.
