No more wild goose chases

There they go again. Getting involved with something they know nothing about and which doesn't involve the City of Burnaby.

Hydraulic fracturing (referred to as fracking by its opponents) is a very complicated issue that has been and is being studied extensively.

The last thing anyone needs is for a bunch of amateurs, Burnaby city council, to get involved. For them to call for a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing is just foolish. I suppose they could call for a moratorium in Burnaby but then no one is proposing to engage in hydraulic fracking here.

Council's mandate is quite narrow, involving matters of direct local concern such as roads, sewers and land use, and they need to concentrate on those matters and stop going off on wild goose chases.
