This letter was right on about the upcoming lawsuit to have wealthy people get in the front of the line by using private facilities by doctors like Dr. Brian Day.
The right to use the private system should be given to people with money, however, there should be no right to claim under the public medicare system.  Also, the doctors and nurses in the private system would need to build their own hospitals/clinics/labs that would not be reimbursed by the public’s tax money.
All use of the private system would be at the patient’s cost and the doctors and other medical people would not be reimbursed by public tax money. That is the only way the private system could work in Canada. It is a mystery as to why Dr. Day chose Canada to immigrate from whatever Commonwealth country he came from.  He would have had the opportunity to make all the money he wants if he had just immigrated to the United States.
