No vote was clear

Dear Editor Regarding your editorial of July 3, I am in disbelief at your response to the recent plebiscite on transit funding. OK, you were disappointed, and you are, as everyone else, certainly free to express your personal opinion.

Dear Editor

Regarding your editorial of July 3, I am in disbelief at your response to the recent plebiscite on transit funding. OK, you were disappointed, and you are, as everyone else, certainly free to express your personal opinion. However, as a journalist, you claim to be confused as for the reason of the successful No vote?  With all due respect, are you just ignorant or suffering of amnesia with regard to the well-publicized litany of financial blunders committed by the authority? I can understand that the CEO of TransLink believes there is no problem with the corporation, but you, as an editor of a newspaper, who at least ought to be aware of public sentiment and the reasons for the negative image TransLink has created for itself. Now let me remind you of the major reason, verified by subsequent polling, we, the ignorant unwashed masses want to first see some accountability of the billions already collected by the corporation before we are willing to hand over more money. I hope this clarifies your confusion.
