Well, Burnaby got hit hard by snow again overnight.
And it’s sticking in many areas, with reports of drivers having trouble getting up Willingdon, Royal Oak and Cariboo hills.
Burnaby Mountain - where I live - socked in with a lot of snow.
TransLink’s vaunted new RapidBus along Hastings in Burnaby cannot get up Burnaby Mountain so it’s terminating at Duthie and Hastings. Shuttle buses are now being used to get riders the rest of the way up the mountain.

Drive BC released a photo of Burnaby’s Kensington stretch of Highway 1 and it’s a slushy mess. You can see the photo attached to this story.
So, maybe just stay home. Maybe those Sunday errands aren’t worth going out on the road and perhaps getting into an accident.
Or, if you do decide to venture out on the road, take some advice and drive slow. Like, really slow. The conditions are bad and driving slower will benefit everyone.
For those driving in the Lower Mainland today, please take your time, give yourselves more time to get to your destination. My usual 12-15 minute drive this morning was about 20-25.

Sure, some idiot who is in a big rush might honk at you because they want you to drive faster, but it’s not worth it. Just ignore the honking and be safe.
