This letter is for the person who stole a small, red Japanese maple tree from our lovely church garden in Burnaby.
That tree was planted in April and was a gift for baby Dakota. She is the minister’s first child who had recently been baptized. The accompanying card read that we wanted to honour her life with us, and we hoped the tree would grow strong and beautiful just as she will.
We are all saddened by this loss and disgusted that someone would steal from a church garden, which is enjoyed by everyone in the neighbourhood.
