Ever get fed up with having neighbours who play their music too loud and borrow your power tools and never return them?
Well, someone now has a chance to buy a home with no neighbours – like, say, their own island. Or on acreage so big the neighbours would just be a speck on the horizon.
That’s because a single ticket sold somewhere in British Columbia claimed the Friday, July 26 $60 million Lotto Max jackpot. There was no immediate word on where exactly where the ticket was purchased – so get checking your numbers now.
A cheque for $60 million buys a lot of privacy, although some people say that more money means more problems…yeah, I’m not subscribing to that theory.
Sure, you’re probably going to hear from a lot of really distant family members who suddenly love you and that one old, old, old friend from high school who has a “can’t-miss” investment opportunity, but you’re smart – you know to resist those overtures.

The draw also included six Maxmillion prizes of $1 million each, however, none of them were won.
The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on July 30 will be approximately $16 million which, in the wake of this mega-jackpot, seems a little pedestrian.
