Lotto Max players in the Prairies should really check their tickets, because one that was sold there is worth $65 million.
A single ticket purchased in the Prairies claimed Friday night's huge jackpot. There was no immediate word on exactly where it was sold.
You could buy a sports franchise with that kind of tax-free money. OK, you couldn’t buy an NHL team outright, but you could become a minority partner – I’m sure the Edmonton Oilers are always looking for more cash - and have a chance to mingle with Connor McDavid.
You could probably buy some or most of a CFL franchise, although that would likely be a terrible investment.
Or how about a minor league baseball team like the Vancouver Canadians?
The sports possibilities are endless. At the very least, if I won 65 million clams, I would fulfill my dream of hitting every single Major League Baseball park during one season – with multiple trips to see my beloved Boston Red Sox.
There were also eight Maxmillion prizes of $1 million each up grabs, but only one of them was claimed — by a player in Ontario.
The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on Oct. 8 will be approximately $17 million.
