Dear Editor:
On Saturday, Jan. 18, I was walking through the restaurant parking lot on the corner of Kingsway and Nelson in Burnaby when I somehow tripped and fell, landing on my face.
A lady in a wheelchair called 911 for me and also a young couple came over to help - I asked her to please get my husband for me, which she did while the man stayed and talked to me making sure I was OK until the ambulance came. He was very nice and kept me relaxed.
Even though I did thank them, I also wanted to let them know I appreciated all the help they gave to me that afternoon.
I also want to say thank you to the paramedics and the fire department for the care I received.
Sandy Chartier, Burnaby
