Dear Editor:
We are about to take time to remember those that fought for our freedoms. We will take a few minutes of silence, the sounds of gunfire long forgotten.
But what do we do? For nearly a week, we bring back the memories of gunfire in the peace of the night for those still around trying to forget those sounds. Not only those, but our new citizens that do not understand this ridiculous ritual of burning money just to hear the sounds of gunfire in the peaceful night, the sounds that some thought they left behind.
I could go on about young people throwing them out the windows of their cars or off balconies of apartment buildings after a night of partying.
But what's the point?
It's time: Take it out of the cities.
